Ken grew up in Brooklyn and attended Hofstra University followed by completing his Masters at Fordham University in NYC. After receiving his master's degree, Ken joined the NYPD focusing on domestic violence and victim support cases. He then relocated to Las Vegas to become a Nevada state officer to assist/provide support for the victims of human trafficking and sex crimes. Ken returned to NYC and worked in the ER at Bellevue Hospital. Ken has held leadership roles at both Mount Sinai and NYU Lagone Hospitals. With his ongoing love of animals throughout his life and his mental health training background, he then landed a job as Practice Manager at a BluePearl Hospital in NYC, before moving to the Austin area. When not at work he enjoys hiking, traveling, and "DIY" projects at home. Ken resides at home with his two rescues: red-bone coonhound, Khiya, and his terrier mix, Cooper.
